What can be the side effects?
Common Side Effects:
1.Fever: Often occurs within the first 3 days after infusion.
2.Flu-like symptoms: May include chills, muscle pain, joint pain, and fatigue.
3.Headache: Mild to moderate in intensity.
4.Nausea: A feeling of sickness or upset stomach.
5.Bone or muscle pain: Typically temporary.
6.Fatigue: Feeling tired or weak.
Less Common Side Effects:
1. Low Calcium Level Zoledronic acid can lower Calcium Levels
2. Kidney problems: Zoledronic acid may affect kidney function, especially in those with pre-existing kidney conditions
3.Jaw problems (osteonecrosis of the jaw): Rare, but can occur, especially in patients with dental issues or those undergoing dental surgery.
4.Eye inflammation: Such as uveitis or conjunctivitis.
5.Allergic reactions: Skin rash, itching, or swelling may occur in rare cases.
6.Irregular heart rhythm (atrial fibrillation): This is a rare side effect, particularly in older individuals.

How do I prepare for the infusions
Eat normally; Fasting is not required.
Make sure you are warm and well-hydrated.
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing.
Continue taking your regular medications.
